Lichina confinis – Fruticose (tufted) black thallus resembling tiny patches of soot on the rock (5mm. or less across.). Fruiting bodies small and spherical on tips of the branches (0.5mm). Common on south facing sunny shores just above EHWS and often found with Caloplaca marina.
